The daily Star publishes a report on the problem of accommodation of the DU students and prinited a picture whcih indicates a sorry state of our children in the resident halls of the university.
What is more astonishing to know that many of the seats are occupied by illegal occupants and university authority has little hold to evict the illegal occupants. They have little authority on the distribution of the seats. Or they have little intention to distribute the seats on rational basis.
It is said in the report that the student wing of a political party virtually control over the seats.
One may ask is the university authority weak only in this issue or they are weak in many other issues where discipline or neutral judgment matters.
