trackback
On 12th March opposition wanted to make a showdown of its political force in Dhaka. Government made all out efforts to make the show looks meager. Government thought that the opposition would use the gathering to make a law and order situation in the capital.
A good number of opposition activists from far and near able to gather in the New Paltan area of the capital designated for the gathering overcoming the obstacles. There was a possibility that the people might continue to sit in the capital to press their demand and to compel the government to resign. But ultimately nothing happened like that.
But an aura of ‘Arab Spring’ was felt by the supporters of the opposition, that may encourage them to repeat the adventure in the future.Government should remain alert.
