Ilyas Ali, an ex MP and a Central Organizing Secretary of BNP, the main opposition party has disappeared in the midnight a few days back. The sudden missing of a leader heats up the politics in Bangladesh. The opposition blames the government agencies for the disappearance. On the other hand, the PM accuses the opposition for creating the drama. The family appeals to the PM to return the man. The State Minister assures that they will find out by any means. The government agencies make their all out effort in searching him out. But so far no trace of Ilius could be made out.
BNP and its political partners took the opportunity to call hartal in protest of the disappearance. Government has tried to dispel the logic of the opposition. Its forces tried to push the opposition activists out of the roads. Opposition took the excuse of use of excess of forces by the government to extend the strike for more 2 days.
Opposition claims the hartal a success. Government expresses people didn’t support the hartal and it will take strong measures to prevent any disruption in public life. Law agencies said that hartal interrupts their search for the disappeared. Businessmen expressed their frustration over the hartal and asked the opposition to find the alternatives.
People and citizens are feeling uncertain over the progress of the situation.
Begum Khaleda Zia, Ex PM and Chairperson of BNP declared in a press conference that if Government fails to bring back Ilyas by 28th of this month, they will go into more tougher action.
Common people can’t predict when the conflict would end and how they will survive the period.
