Hillary in Bangladesh

Hillary came to Bangladesh in a visit on 4th May,2012. She met in her 2 days’ visit with our Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Opposition Leader, Dr.Mohammad Yunus, BRAC Chairman Fazle Hussain Abed and young leaders and Citizens Group.
She touched many issues with the government including present political state in Bangladesh and urged for continuation of democratic exercise and establishment of political dialogue between the government and opposition.
She expressed her respect for Dr. Mohammad Yunus and she expressed her concern for government interference in Grameen Bank activities.
In a meeting with the representatives of the young generation, she exchanged views on different issues including immigration, young leadership, micro-credit etc.
But no definite agreement was signed during the visit. It is thought that USA has interest in the energy sector of Bangladesh and deep sea security in Bay of Bengal.
