Daily Star reported the Budget as ‘Lavish Budget but Poor Plan’.

Economists expressed worry on the rationality of the different aspects of the Budget.Dr. Akbar Ali Khan , Adviser of the Caretaker Govt feared that the revenue target for the fiscal budget will not be met. Center for Policy Dialogue(CPD) termed the budget as surreal.

From Opposition, BNP leader Barrister Moudud said that the ‘budget is a big beautiful balloon’. But boycotting the parliament by the opposition on the budget session was most unethical, the FM also termed the absence as tragedy.
