Ghulam Azam, the Chief of Jamaat -e Islami in  Bangladesh in the then East Pakistan  in 1971 , was given 90 years jail by the International War Crime Tribunal considering his old age for his role in 1971 against the liberation war in Bangladesh.
The political life of Golam Azam started in 1946 in Dhaka University as a student leader and is ending in jail for 90 years by the verdict of International War Crime Tribunal.

Follow up:

US based Human Rights Watch issued an statement on the trail of Ghulam and said it was flawed.

HRW draws flak from the government.
