An interesting Ad in Prothom Alo on 30th August 2008 caught my eyes. The Ad runs-the government of Bangladesh is preparing a ‘National Integrity Strategy’.The objective of the strategy is to institutionalize the honesty and integrity in establishing good governance in the country and to nourish good qualities, exercise of moralities and develop respect to the rules and regulations.

It is said that NSI will take into consideration the issues related to honesty and integrity of the public and private institutions, civil societies, NGOs and all other organizations working in Bangladesh.

The strategy are under preparation in consultation with the representatives of different classes of people and professionals of the society. Institute of Governance Studies of BRAC University is bestowed upon with the responsibility to prepare the strategy.

The learned citizens are requested to submit their proposals on the issue in the website http://www.nisforbangladesh.com by 10 September, 2008.
