Nelson Mendala 218th July was the 95th birthday of Nelson Mandela, the great South African leader of our time. Mandela is in hospital on intensive care and fighting for his life and whole world is celebrating his birthday and praying for his life. No leader of the contemporary world draws so much respect from nations across the world.

He was in jail for 27 years from 1962 to 1990. After release he became the president of ANC. In 1994, his party won in a multiracial democratic election and he became the President of the country. Before that South Africa was ruled by minority whites for centuries extremely racial and apartheid in character.

Mandela will be ever remembered for his re-conciliatory role in bridging the gap between whites and blacks that saved the nation from continuous violence and economic bankruptcy.

One of the great quote of Nelson Mandela is “courageous people do not fear forgiving, for the sake of peace”.

Bangladesh is long waiting for a leader like Nelson Mandela!
