Just after the election, the minority community in different parts of the country is attacked, their houses ransacked and their prayer houses damaged. They have to leave their houses and have to take shelter elsewhere. Police failed to protect them. Though 5 lac law enforcers are on the field as a part of election duty including RAB,BGB and Army, but their presence was little felt. No effective action was taken from the administration. No satisfying inquiry and no convincing arrest was made.
Many are blaming Jamaat-Shibir for the offence. But their are evidence that other parties are also involved in the incident for their own purpose.
Some are also blaming government that they are creating the incidents to divert the attention of the people from the recently held one sided poorly participated election.
Government declared forming special tribunal for punishing the offenders.
