Medical admission-1Students are protesting question leaks in Medical Entry Exam for the last 1 month. Despite the disclosure and arrest of offenders by the government agencies even before the exam, Directorate of Health Service took the exam and declared the result.[1] The result came as a blessing for the non-meritorious back benchers. Despite leakage and protest government goes on taking admission that will be completed by 17th instant in government medical colleges.

m a -2The protesters organized processions, blockade of the important offices, signature collection, art and poster shows and fasting unto death. The police charged batton, injured and arrested students.[1][1b][2][3][4][5][5][6][7][7][8][9]

m a-Many question the justification of taking admission test by the administration(DG Health) instead of academic institute (BSMMU/DMC). Some opined that it may be a conspiracy to destroy the education of the country.Health Minister declared that there was no question leaks.Education Minister and Prime Minister said nothing so far on the issue.[1][2]

m a-3Academician,independent institutions, student organization and political parties expressed their concern and urged for a inquiry into the leak or cancel the result.[1][1][2] Otherwise they said it will create frustration among the students and that will not be good for the country.

Dhaka University Admission: VC contradicting himself October 24, 2014

Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University declared that henceforth the students will only get a single chance to appear in the admission test in Dhaka University and that is in the year they passed HSC exam.
The declaration caught the students off guarded as nobody was prepared to hear such an announcement.
The declaration is also a contradiction to VC’s earlier stand. The HSC passed students failed massively in the admission tests of DU in different units. VC expressed that the students are not upto the standards to pass the exam. Later he added that those students who are appearing in the second time are doing good. In that case why a student shouldn’t get a second chance to be admitted in the university.
No international exam GRE,GMAT,IELTS or admission test in any university is limited to a single chance. It can’t be accepted academically nor on humanitarian ground. If the attempt remains allowed for a single chance then many students will miss their chance because of medical illnesses.
DU authority should reconsider their decision and be more logical.
