Khaleda under house arrest-1Opposition leader Khaleda is cordoned off in her house by 8 platoons of police and Rab. 5 trucks loaded with sand is put in front of the gate of the house.
Government explained that the law enforcers are placed to ensure her security of the opposition leader.
Khaleda tried to come out of her house at 2 pm to attend the gathering at Naya Paltan that she calls for ‘March of Dmocracy’, but couldn’t.
She asked the journalists to come inside the compound and then she announced to the journalist that the ‘March for Democracy will continue on Monday.

I was reading an article in Prothom Alo written by Asif Nazrul, a professor of Dhaka University, Law Department where he said that Govt took very hard stand for the trial of the corruption cases. He accused that the measures taken by the government violates the human rights. (more…)
